Cotton fabric | 2019
While making clothes, I got interested in how Japanese traditional clothes were made.
This is the first yukata that I made.
That is made by combining rectangular fabrics.
Yukata are made by hand for that the seams are not visible.
I realized once again that it is a wonderful piece of clothing that is particular about beauty in every detail.
That is also apllied in my current creative works.
Yukata is basically worn at night, so I used a white floral pattern that looks great even in the dark.
That gives a gorgeous impression to the wearer.
I would like to make use of this experience of making japanese clothese in the creative scene.
I think I can make various proposals such as making gowns made from square fabrics with less waste of materials, and comfortable clothes that are less irritating to the skin due to seams.
